so its 10pm april 4 2010 and i'm in rfx9000 sound lab listening back to the DEFENDER tracks. this is trademark ANDRAKO, cut to the bone sonics. as always, i've brought in new elements to the ANDRAKO sound, but kept the core intact. truthfully, these tracks evolved through no less than three stages before morphing into the style on DEFENDER. i guess one way to describe it would be hardcore-tekno-industrial-metal.

the title DEFENDER comes from an arcade game by the same name. i was reading about the history of the game and the creator mentioned that the game was pretty violent for its time, so he felt like naming the game DEFENDER sort of justified the violence. the tracks on DEFENDER are punishing and violent, so i thought the title applied to these tracks as well.

it is cool as hell that i've been able to let ANDRAKO evolve the way it has. i really never know where each release is going to take me, but i just let inspiration guide the way and things build themselves from there. one of the biggest inspirations came from working with TECHNO MOSH PIT RECORDS on this release. this is a bleeding edge label with a lethal roster of artists shredding away at their craft. listening to the mix of hardcore and tekno inspired and worked its way into DEFENDER, no doubt.

so .. an infinite thanks to all who have and continue to support ANDRAKO on this journey through planet kaos .. you are the fuel to this DESTRUCTION ENGINE! peace.
